How salt raises blood pressure:

One of the ingredients in the salt we eat is sodium. The kidneys control the level of sodium in the blood.

Under normal circumstances, the amount of sodium in the blood is increased by eating salt in the leaves. As a result, excess sodium is not converted into urine by the kidneys.

Rather it comes in the blood again. And the amount of water in the blood increases because sodium is water-absorbing.

This extra amount of water puts more pressure on the blood vessels.

As a result, blood pressure is higher than normal. This increases blood pressure. Although sodium is very beneficial for the body, too much sodium is harmful.
